P2i Ltd signs groundbreaking R&D deal with Eppendorf AG
Oxford, UK P2i Ltd, the UK’s leading nanoscale enhancer of products, has signed
a multi-year collaborative deal with biotech specialist Eppendorf AG to investigate potential applications of its groundbreaking ion-mask™ cold plasma deposition technology.
“This is a landmark opportunity for P2i Ltd, establishing us in the laboratory consumables market place”, said P2i’s CEO, Dr Graham Hine. “Eppendorf has a long standing reputation for innovation and we are looking forward to working alongside their designers to enhance the product range with ion-mask™ technology.”

Ion-Mask™ works by applying a protective layer, just nanometres thick, over the entire surface of a product by means of an ionised gas or “plasma”. This layer is molecularly bound to the surface and will not leach away. The process brings numerous product enhancements compared with other surface treatments.
